After completing the visit, the group begins the descent along the same trail back to Santa Lucia accompanied by the guide. The tourist transportation awaits to start the return journey, passing again through Pomacanchi and Cusipata, then continuing toward Urcos and Andahuaylillas before reconnecting with the main highway.
